How to upload photos and videos from your iPhone
Choose a gallery, add photos and videos from your camera roll, and follow the live progress.
Last updated
- Open Relyve on your iPhone and choose the gallery.
- Add the photos and videos from the shoot. iPhone files such as HEIC and HEVC are supported.
- Leave the upload running. Relyve shows what is in progress, the speed, and the time remaining.
- Pause if you need the connection for something else, then resume when you are ready.
There is no artificial speed cap. On a strong connection, the upload can use it. Files stay at the quality you captured, and a 4K video streams to your client in 4K.
What happens during an upload
Relyve first prepares the selected items so it can read each file reliably, then places them in the upload queue. The queue transfers the files, records progress and shows whether an item is preparing, uploading, paused, waiting for a connection, complete or failed.
A completed upload means the original file has reached the gallery. A video can then enter a separate Processing stage while Relyve prepares it for browser playback. This is why a transfer can show as complete before the video is ready to play.
How to get a reliable upload
- Start with enough free Relyve storage for the selected files.
- Use a stable Wi-Fi connection for large batches when one is available.
- Keep Relyve open whenever the queue asks you to, especially for files over 2 GB.
- Review failed items in the queue instead of selecting the whole batch again.
Upload speed is mainly limited by the upload capacity of your internet connection, which can be much lower than its advertised download speed.
