How to pause and resume an upload

Pause a busy upload, then resume it later. Progress, speed, and time remaining stay visible.

Last updated

  1. Open the upload progress while files are moving.
  2. Pause when you need the phone or the connection for something else.
  3. Resume when you are ready. Relyve continues the files that were still waiting.
  4. Use the list to see what is done, what is active, and any file that needs attention.

You can also cancel an upload you no longer want to send. Cancelling stops that transfer. It does not remove files that have already finished.

What pausing an upload does

Pause tells the queue to stop active transfer work without treating the file as finished or deleting it. The item remains in the queue so it can continue when you resume. This is useful when you need the connection for a call, travel between networks or want to preserve battery temporarily.

Resume starts the remaining transfer work. Depending on the file and the point where the connection stopped, Relyve uses saved progress where possible rather than asking you to select the original item again.

Pause, cancel and delete are different

Pause is temporary. Cancel removes unfinished transfer work from the queue. Delete removes media that is already in the gallery and may place it in the Bin. Choose cancel only when you no longer want that pending upload; use pause when you expect to continue it.
