How to control what clients can download
Turn Allow downloads on or off in gallery settings so the delivery can be saved or stay view-only.
Last updated
You control whether clients can download from a gallery. The setting lives in gallery settings as “Allow downloads”.
- Open the gallery, then open gallery settings.
- Find Allow downloads.
- Leave it on when clients should save individual files or the full gallery.
- Turn it off when the gallery should be watched rather than saved.
A view-only gallery still opens from the link, with no account. The download action is only there when you allow it.
What Allow downloads controls
Allow downloads controls whether the client-facing gallery offers saving and download actions. Turning it on permits the client to save available individual items and prepare larger selections. Turning it off keeps the gallery focused on viewing.
The setting belongs to the gallery, so changing it updates the existing shared link. You do not need to create and resend another delivery just because you are ready to enable downloads later.
When a view-only gallery is useful
A view-only stage can be useful while videos are still processing, while you confirm the final selection or when the delivery agreement does not include downloadable originals. Turn downloads on only when the gallery is ready for the client to keep the files.
Download controls are not digital rights management. A person who can view media on a device may still be able to capture the screen. Use the setting as a delivery control, not as a guarantee against all copying.
